Innovative companies, such as Max Bögl, need individual and flexible solutions to meet complex requirements. The Max Bögl group of companies is active in diverse areas of the construction industry, including renewable energies, modular construction, and the development of a new type of transport system based on magnetic levitation technology. These different areas require individual development environments, CAD systems and management systems.

In order to manage the resulting multi-CAD data in an audit-proof manner using Teamcenter PLM from Siemens, Max Bögl was looking for a competent partner with expertise in Autodesk Revit and Tekla Structures from Trimble. .

In early project discussions, Siemens PLM recommended and introduced UNITEC Informationssysteme GmbH as a competent development partner specialized in integration solutions.

The following task was assigned to UNITEC:
Teamcenter is to be used as a central PLM platform for the audit-proof and legally compliant administration of design and manufacturing data (including CAD data, attributes, drawings, CAM data, etc.) from Revit and Tekla Structures. The structures to be set up (e.g. assemblies, parts lists, E-BOM) are to be enhanced with additional data in Teamcenter and processed in existing subsequent processes (e.g. planning coordination, work preparation). In order to support these processes optimally, the CAD data from Revit and Tekla Structures has to be imported into Teamcenter using 3d model data in the standardized JT format (ISO 14306:2012) in combination with a XML-based representation based on ISO 15926.

Together with Intelizign, an established expert in PLM applications, UNITEC developed the necessary interfaces to implement the customer requirements mentioned above. The result is a solution that contributes significantly to making processes easier and safer. Thus, the solution enables Max Bögl to do their work faster and be more competitive. The existing planning resources can be used more effectively and profitably.

The UNITEC solution is of interest to many other companies that use or want to use Teamcenter in a multi-CAD environment.
