Goals

Reduction of time and effort spent on production engineering of complex orders. Customers of the company wants tailored vehicles more often and are willing to pay extra for a highly customized vehicle.

Our Solution

In collaboration with our customer a solution was developed that estimates all 3D-components out of a specific bill of materials. Afterwards the 3D-components are processed to a manufacturing specific format in an automated workflow. For this workflow data from CAD, ERP and manufacturing planning is merged. The 3D-Models are prepared based on an individual customer order. During this preparation process the carcass for the outer walls as well as the cut for the inner isolation are created. For the customer specific furniture the direction of the wood inlays are considered to give the entire interior a premium finish.
